Fleur-de-lis,
the French Royal Lily, had been one of the most recognizable icons in the
history of architecture. A similar shape, called sebka was also used in the
Moorish architecture, most visibly can be seen on the façade of Hassan Tower in
Rabat, Morocco and in the interlacing arches of the Great Mosque of Cordoba in
Spain. In this ring, we emphasize the irreverent artistic cosmopolitanism of a
shape that can surpass the political boundaries of nations.
