Ayvan
generally is the entry point to the main structure and is heavily used both in
the pre-Islamic, Islamic and Anatolian architecture. It creates a breathing
space in the structure, courteously welcoming visitors from all walks of life.
The shape and its use inspired us a lot as we feel that we all need an ayvan of
our own, connecting the inner sanctuaries of human psyche to the outer jungle
of human interaction.
